Welcome! I am Flower Aston, a registered dietitian (since 2006), food enthusiast, and dedicated nutrition professional who is passionate about helping clients achieve their health goals.
My counseling culture is centered on creating a supportive and non-judgmental environment where clients can feel comfortable and empowered to make positive changes in their lives. I have dedicated my career to staying informed on the latest research and have nutrition expertise in areas such as heart health, reactive hypo-glycemia, pre-diabetes, diabetes self-management, weight management/weight loss, PCOS, gastrointestinal diseases, cancer, food allergies/intolerances, and nutrition during pregnancy and lactation to name a few. I am passionate about helping my clients develop a healthier relationship with food and achieve their health goals through personalized nutrition.
In addition to my expertise in personalized nutrition counseling, I bring an extra layer of value as a skilled nutrition writer and compelling speaker. I am passionate about sharing knowledge. Whether you're seeking a dynamic group nutrition class, invigorating corporate wellness session, an engaging community talk, or an evidenced based nutrition article that resonates with your audience, I've got you covered. Together, let's chart a course towards a healthier and more informed lifestyle.
About Me: A Glimpse Beyond My Professional Role
Beyond my role as a dedicated Dietitian, I wear the hats of a loving wife and mother to three vibrant, active children. Together with my husband, we embark on a bustling journey, shuttling our kids from one activity to another.
In the rare moments I carve out for myself, I'm drawn to the culinary world. A passionate home cook, I explore unique foods native to Idaho Falls and cultivate a vibrant small backyard garden, inspiring my culinary creations. Recently, I've found joy in the art of sourdough, reveling in the creativity and therapeutic process of crafting bread and other delights with my sourdough starter.
Beyond the kitchen, I find solace in my other passions. From painting to hiking, camping, and traveling, I embrace the beauty of life beyond the plate. An avid audiobook listener, I pair my love for literature with daily chores. Bunco nights, book club, and brunch dates bring laughter and camaraderie, adding a delightful social touch to my diverse interests.
This multifaceted journey weaves together a tapestry of family, culinary exploration, and personal joys that define my world beyond nutrition and health.
